Busselton Margaret River Airport

On Friday 4 October 2019 it was announced that Jetstar will commence a new direct air service between Melbourne and Busselton Margaret River Airport from 25 March 2020. Jetstar will operate the service three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, landing at Busselton Margaret River Airport at 9.05am and departing at 9.40am.

The first three years of the flights are predicted to bring in 60,000 passengers and inject $40 million into the local economy.

In order to assist regional business to prepare in welcoming the airline passengers, MRBTA and Australia’s South West (ASW), are working together to deliver a training and capacity building programme. An initial education session for MRBTA and ASW members took place on Thursday 17 October, and this will be followed by sessions by business category during November.
