After a successful inaugural event, Cabin Fever’s event management team are excited to announce that the 10-day Cabin Fever Festival will be hitting the Margaret River region again this winter, to be held from July 13-22, 2018. As was the case last year, the festival will provide an opportunity for visitors and locals alike to break out of hibernation and attend a range of unique events featuring regional produce, award winning wine and beverages, live music, art and entertainment, all set in inspiring locations throughout the Margaret River region.
Cabin Fever aims to increase visitation to the Margaret River region in the traditionally off-peak period of July, while providing a much-needed boost to local business. There’s an opportunity for your accommodation businesses to benefit, through:
- Targeting repeat business and your database by promoting the event and inviting guests to visit during the 10-day festival period.
- Providing guests already booked throughout winter with information about Cabin Fever events, encouraging them to stay longer and spend more.
This year’s event is already receiving plenty of coverage through media and consumer engagement (with social media followers already commenting about accommodation bookings for the period!) and works as a hook to encourage visitation. To help you promote the event alongside your business, we’ve put together a helpful file with logos, suggested text and images.

The Cabin Fever event management team are also searching for higher-level accommodation partners. This is an exclusive offer for just four businesses. The opportunity costs $500 and in exchange for rooms for media and/or competition winners, accommodation businesses will have access to a sponsorship package including advertising and promotion in the lead up to the event. For more information about becoming an accommodation partner, please contact [email protected].
The team look forward to working with accommodation providers (you!) to boost business during winter in the Margaret River region.
