Now in its 46th year, the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards recognise and reward business excellence within the Western Australian tourism industry.
Tourism operators can gain great benefits from participating in the awards program, including:
- Public recognition of their achievements and commitment to excellence;
- Exposure both within the industry and to the greater public;
- A business “check up” resulting in improvements to operations;
- An outstanding finalists marketing package;
- The opportunity to represent Western Australia at the National Tourism Awards;
- An unforgettable experience!
The Awards process consists of an online submission and site visit, and entrants also receive support to assist with their awards submission.
If you are considering entering this years’ awards, now is the time to start preparing and collecting information to include in your submission, and book your place in an upcoming Awards workshop! To make it as easy for you as possible, follow these three steps and ensure you are prepared to put your best submission forward for the 2018 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards.
Start Your Tourism Awards File
Having all the relevant information and resources in one place before you commence the application process will make things much easier once you get to the pointy end! Include things like photos, testimonials, examples of marketing activities, innovations, other awards received, staff training initiatives and, importantly, examples of where your business has participated in industry events. Asking team members from across the business to submit material for your file will help you to ensure that all aspects of the business are covered in the final application.
Register for an Awards Workshop
These workshops assist prospective nominees to prepare submissions and provide useful insights into the application process. The workshops are complimentary and include in-depth explanations of the application process, clarification on the rules of entry, a review of key dates and participation benefits, as well as tips on how to effectively answer application questions and avoid common mistakes.The Margaret River workshop is taking place on 14 May.
